The Lion King is the most imaginative show to hit Broadway in decades. In the early 1990s, Sir Elton John worked together with lyricist Sir Tim Rice on the soundtrack for The Lion King, winning them both an Academy Award. The album produced two top-selling, award-winning singles: “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” and “Circle of Life.” In 1998, the visually stunning Broadway production of The Lion King won the Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical, and for Best Costumes. Come and see for yourself the spectacular theater event of the decade.
