Brunch and Broadway!
Forget dinner and movie. Enjoy Sunday brunch and a Broadway hit musical on a Globe Treks day tour!
The Globe Treks motor coach was on the road on Sunday, February 26 to the Peace Center in Greenville, SC transporting a group of guests to see Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. There’s no better way to spend a Sunday than enjoying a great meal followed by a Broadway musical. Globe Treks tour managers Bob and Margaret Palmer, along with driver Joe Warren took care of all the details and logistics so our guests could just sit back and relax and enjoy the outing. Before the show, the group enjoyed a delicious brunch at the Nantucket Seafood Grill in Greenville which is located right across the street from the Peace Center. There was a full house for the matinee performance of the inspiring true story of how Carole King’s music became the soundtrack of a generation.
“Oh what wonderful, wonderful music and inspiring story. On the way home, the motor coach was alive with the hubbub of memories and excitement of a great show,” said Globe Treks tour manager Margaret Palmer.
Beautiful: The Carole King Musical begins just before she composes her first hit song, “Will You Love Me Tomorrow” in 1959 and continues as Carole’s personal life begins falling apart and she responds by stepping out of the shadows with Tapestry, a deeply personal collection of songs that becomes one of the best-selling albums of all time. The performance at the Peace Center of this Grammy and Tony award winning musical was spectacular.
The next Globe Treks day tour headed to the Peace Center is on April 15, 2017 for the hilarious Broadway show Something Rotten! Remember, no worries about traffic or parking when you travel with Globe Treks and we always have great orchestra level seating for all our shows. Give us a call today to reserve your seat!
